What would you like to know about me? How did I revive my creative side? That’s easy: after moving to the Swedish countryside and leaving the treadmills of the fast and furious economy behind. It took a while, though. The long while: almost fifty years since I left art school. The shorter while: some five years of detoxing in Sweden.
Of course, there were moments of creative itch before, short outbursts during brief periods of relief from toxic stress, when I could pick up a camera to capture some precious moments. It even resulted in an exhibition at a local gallery. But it didn’t last.
Only after fully disconnecting from the sources that caused all that stress could a new flow emerge. Moving closer to nature proved crucial, not only to release our creative potentials, but also to raise our love for life, for nature, and for each other to a new level.
And now I have started to paint again. New surroundings, and the thousands of digitalised memories are a sheer endless source of inspiration, as are stories in books I read. And even my other work is, advocating a sustainable world, from a new perspective.
Here, at Yohari, Jana and I started to create a little space to share our work. Our aim is to grow it into a spot where people with a story to tell can share creative work that results from it. If that resonates with you, let us know. Your welcome.
Meanwhile, feel free to follow our flow.
